Anthony Bertram
Tony, or as we prefer “Tone-E”, brings a wealth of talent and experience to CenterStage as one would expect from the son of a commercial recording voice over artist. Having spent the bulk of his adolescent years growing up in the world of audio post production, Tony decided to expand on his media production background by studying the fine art of cinematography during his college years.
Working hands on with Bolex Super 16 film cameras and manually editing film stock, Tony quickly learned to appreciate the world of digital imaging and non-destructive nonlinear editing.
Aaron J. Courtney
Aaron brings over 30 years of photographic experience and 15 years of commercial audio post production experience to CenterStage Productions. Under the watchful eye of his father (an internationally published pro photographer), he learned all things manual on single lens reflex cameras from that era, how to manually process film, various darkroom printing procedures, and all about Ansel Adams’ Zone System.
During Aaron’s high school years, he served as the school’s primary sports photographer responsible for photographing all school sporting events for publication in the school’s yearbook. He learned how to focus manually by shooting high school football and basketball in less-than-optimal lighting conditions. “Pulling focus while filming at 1.4 to 2.8 with APS-C & Micro 4/3 DSLR’s using the same manual lenses we used 30 years ago is pretty much second nature to me,” he states. He received multiple state photography awards during his high school enrollment.
During the early ’90′s, Aaron began experimenting with analog multitrack recording and digital audio mastering using Sonic Foundry’s audio post flagship platform Sound Forge (prior to Sony Creative Software’s acquisition) mostly as an adjunct to his own musical endeavors. However, after establishing a robust digital audio workflow that bypassed the technical limitations of modular digital multitrackers common to that era, he began offering on site digital audio multitrack recording services to local bands.
Recent advancements in the world of High Definition video imaging prompted Aaron to convert CenterStage from an audio only shop to one that offers comprehensive media production services. Says Aaron: “I’m totally stoked that I can now combine all of my photographic experience with my audio engineering experience to offer our customers the most complete suite of high quality media options available today. We have been waiting for this point in time for a very long time!”
Keith Lasanske
Keith brings over 25 years of live audio and studio recording experience to CenterStage Productions and continues to serve as both a performing musician and guitar instructor. Admitting to having been initially drawn into the world of music by Ted Nugent’s guitar wizardry, Keith quickly added audio production skills to his chops as a touring musician. Keith believes his musical experience has enabled him to become a greater asset to CenterStage due to the company’s specialization in filming live events that require multitrack digital audio recording. Additionally, his history as a performing musician gives him a unique perspective on the use of cinematic elements during the pre-production and production phases. Lastly, he encourages all: “Don’t let your production partner be your weakest link!”
Jeff Poborsky
Jeff brings a unique passion for all things musical to CenterStage Productions having played professionally as a drummer for nearly 30 years in a number of different bands, served as a sessions recording artist for several albums, and instructed the fine art of drumming in various teaching capacities. Desiring an even deeper involvement with the world of media production, Jeff has successfully leveraged his musical talent into the area of audio post production and mixing where his ear for music has served him well. “I love to work with young artists of all genres, to watch them evolve as performers, and to make them sound as good as their talent and personal dedication deserve,” he proclaims.
